Program Details: BSAC Dive Leader

TheBSAC Dive Leader course is a leadership-level qualification for experienced divers who want to take responsibility for planning and leading dives.

It focuses on developing strong decision-making, rescue, and dive management skills in real diving environments, preparing divers for higher-level responsibilities and instructor progression.

During the course, divers learn advanced navigation, rescue techniques, dive planning, and how to manage groups of divers safely, with a strong emphasis on awareness, judgment, and handling challenging conditions.

Upon certification, a Dive Leader is qualified to plan, manage, and lead dives for qualified divers and dive to a maximum depth of50 metres, making this course ideal for those aiming for leadership or future instructor training.

Course Requirements

• Certified BSAC Sports Diver or equivalent advanced qualification
• Good buoyancy control and solid open water experience

Depth & Qualification Outcome

After certification, a Dive Leader is qualified to dive to a maximum depth of50 metres and lead qualified divers in a variety of conditions, gaining essential leadership and decision-making experience.
